The Journey Begins

Okay, so that's a bitcliche' But closest thing I can think of to the truth.

I've created this blog to document the journey of my horse from racehorse to saddle horse.

"Horse" as he's called is a 7 year old Off The Track Thoroughbred (or OTTB as it'll be referred to). He's 16.2 hands, chestnut, and has a huge heart. He's an eager and willing learner, and a very hard keeper. We're having one heck of a time getting him to gain weight.

Horse is currently without a name. His registered name is "Potomac Manor" but it's a mouthful...and doesn't fit him. I've tossed around a few names, but nothing seems to fit. It's getting frustrating. I've considered:

Tsornin (from "The Blue Sword" the name of the Chestnut horse there)
James
Sirius (Yes, from "Harry Potter)
Hagrid (also from "Harry Potter)
Phoenix
Big Red
Big Mac
Mac
